Default Best. Sleeper. EVER.

Go ahead and try and top this one.

Sure, there are a couple of tip-off clues (rear wheels [damn!], license plate), but I don't think I've ever seen one better. I knew it was awesome, but then I watched the clip and gained even more appreciation. Notice the rear window at takeoff And the horn is just the icing on the cake.

I watched pinks last night and there was a 1997 4x4 dodge diesel pickup running 10.3's. Fucking huge plume of black smoke down the track, it was excellent.

Wow, what the hell do you do to get that Dodge down the track in under 11 seconds?

And as far as the sleeper goes pl8, nobody rocks Hoosiers like that unless they mean business. Not perfect, but plenty sleepy.

About 1200 hp and probably close to 2000 ft/lbs, would be my guess. That's what happens when you install an engine that runs at about 25% of its potential in stock form. It's like a diesel GT-R, but running 6+ liters of displacement instead of 2.6L. Doesn't hurt that it's supposed to "knock."

It was a straight up twin turbo set-up. As KB said, it doesn't take much. This guy was actually launching in 4WD then switching it to 2WD after 60ft. Badass.

Last I checked, you could push about 120-150 lbs of boost on one of those before you lose a headgasket or stretch the headstuds too much.

Somewhere in the california neck of the woods is an old semi-rusty, semi-beat looking Suburban that runs high 10s. With a naturally aspirated small block.

That's the answer I was looking for. I know it'd take gobs of hp/torque, I just wondered how you get there. I didn't realize they were that resilient to squished air.
