I *think* the GTEs were a further evolution of the LM, but not done by the factory.

It appears there was an F40 LM which ran IMSA, followed by an F40 GT which ran the Italian GT Championship, and then the F40 GTEs which ran in BPR GT.

Technically this thread was nothing to do with the F40, legend that it is. But I'll allow it just for being the only super of the era with no carpets and exposed carbonfibre weave on the interior

There's a few mistakes in it on closer inspection. It states the new PWR as 478bhp/ton which is actually less than standard.
